Following an epic night one of Atlanta’s annual Shaky Beats Festival, crowds hauled their way inside the city’s Masquerade venue, packing wall to wall to rage the rest of the night away to dub heavy beats from producers Ra, Dirt Monkey, and Boogie T.
Despite the small venue, both the fans and the performances made the whole experience worth it. With the booth hosting no barricade, attendees were able to headbang their way up front, hands held high and smiles wide as each artist worked their way through their non-stop sets.
Kicking off the night was Ra, an up and coming producer based out of Charlotte, SC. Not afraid to start things off with some heavy hitters, this artist quickly had the whole room going hard as he dropped mix after mix of his high energy tracks. Despite only being around for a short period of time, Ra has shared the stage with other high profile acts such as Liquid Stranger, Ookay, Herobust, and now, Boogie T.

Following Ra was Boulder’s own Dirt Monkey. This veteran producer carved a named for himself with his uplifting and bouncy style of music, and with over a dozen high profile releases under his belt, Dirt Monkey brought it all to the table for the crowd that night, mixing everything from his throwback singles to exclusive, unreleased tracks for the show.

Last but absolutely not least, to cap off the evening was Boogie T. Having been writing music since the tender age of 8, Boogie (Brock) has come a long way, and definitely incorporates his love of his southern roots into his music. Incorporating the finest elements of future funk, bass, and dubstep, Boogie’s production style is as fun as it is wild, and the everyone in the crowd loved every second of it. Didn’t matter if you were arm and arm with a friend or in your own zone head banging, the Boogie T afterparty brought the best out of Atlanta’s electronic music fans, and served as an incredible conclusion to the first day of Shaky Beats fest.
