Angel ParkAs I sit here at the Atlanta airport nursing a mild case of sunburn and a throbbing headache, I can’t help but smile fondly over the events that occurred over the past two days. From May 10th-11th, ATL’s central park was turned out wall to wall into one of the wildest EDM events to help kick off the city’s stacked festival season, and we here at DMNDR are beyond grateful to have experienced it.
With attendance in the thousands, fans gathered in droves to watch and dance as headliners such as Big Gigantic, Big Wild, Martin Garrix, Rufus Du Sol, and many others took the stages to perform some of their best songs yet, with some timeless throwback remixes and crowd favorites thrown in as well.
Aside from the music, the crowd (and food) also served as additional highlights of the event, with attendees rocking an array of unique outfits and smiling ear to ear as the witnessed their favorite DJs perform on stage. Vibes were positive all around. Combine this, the music, and the hot southern style food that ATL is known for, Shaky Beats 2019 absolutely served as one of my favorite fests to kick off this busy season.
