There’s always a different vibe circulating through the air when an artist plays in their hometown. As the sold out crowd anxiously waited for Theophilus London to hit the stage at the Bowery Ballroom, you could hear snippets of excited conversations. Most discussed their favorite songs, while others reminisced about the first time they met “Theo” or discovered his music.

It was as if we were all waiting for a friend we hadn’t seen in ages (two years to be exact). To add to the reunion, London brought out countless special guests including Andrew Watt who played electric guitar for the songs they co-wrote, and Dev Hynes made an appearance for “Figure It Out.”

Theo proclaimed that this tour was “all about the vibes” and he did his best to make sure the crowd was on the same level. Let’s hope it doesn’t take two years for our friend to come home again.
