Cibo Matto takes the stage like a refined emoji that is animated to create bass thumping GIFs. Does that make sense? Neither does how awesome they sound. For good measure they utilize mesmerizing visuals, spinning worlds of Matto on screen during their performance, declaring in some profoundly succinct way that they too, are in the universe of Tune Yards, in their own, separately rendered galaxy.
