tubafresh’s audio premiere, casper connect

Lo-fi-pop band tubafresh breaks through airwaves with their latest song “Casper Connect,” a record for merit proving the new band is very present and very alive. The number is accompanied by a video directed by WonderWorks. “Casper Connect” is a playful jam that carries through a persistent wave of synth melody, stimulating percussion, and sudden sonorous horn. The layered instrumentation and progression throughout the song drives a pulse that in itself is a performance piece. This is tubafresh’s first release of the season, and a valued introduction for listeners to get into their fearless and groovy sound. tubafresh is the spirited group led by sousaphonist Chanell Crichlow of Brooklyn’s PitchBlak Brass Band. The band first formed in the beginning of 2016 and has so far received a great amount of buzz being recognized as “refreshing” and “purposeful,” by blogs. “Casper Connect” is the first track to be shared off of tubafresh’s anticipated EP to be released December 2017.
