With just to go before Atlanta’s annual Shaky Beats fest, you may be wondering what artists to add to your daily schedule for this epic two day event taking place in the heart of ATL’s Central Park. Out of all the incredible electronic dance and hip hop artists lining this year’s roster, here’s five that we think are must-sees to add to your list this year.
French musician Chloe Herry, better known as (CloZee), has been delighting listeners across the globe with her bold, cinematically styled production since appearing on the scene back in 2013. Inspired by all things adventure, love, and music, CloZee has toured across many continents including slots at fests such as Coachella, India, as well as headlining four U.S tours. She remains a standout amongst the roster at Gravitas Recordings & Otodayo Records, and her ability to transport her listeners to a whole new world of melodic magic makes her a must see for anyone attending this year at Shaky Beats.
Best Tracks: Harmony, Koto, Desert
2.) Big Gigantic
Armed with an incredible mix of mind-blowing beats, thunderous bass, and frenetic melodies, duo Big Gigantic packs one hell of a performance that has managed to earn them a rabid following since first coming together in 2008. The group, made up of Saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken, combine the best of the electro soul and electronic genres and transform these sounds into something as thoughtful as it is danceable. With a roster full of previous shows ranging from Ultra, Bonnaroo, and Electric Forest, Big G is crushing it and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Best tracks: Little Things, Brighter Future, All of me
3.) GG Magree
Muti talented producer and all around bad ass, Australia based DJ GG Magree has blazed one heck of a trail for herself in the electronic music scene over the past year. Armed with her high energy bass beats and larger than life personality, GG has worked her way up the ranks, collaborating with industry veterans such as Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE, along with release her own debut single “One by One.” At this rate, GG is set to dominate the electronic scene at large, and we’ll be there rooting for her the whole way.
Best tracks: Ghost, One by One, Don’t wanna Lost You
